The main characters in the story are Kamran, and Darius

They both are muslim, and family goes back to the arabic/muslim traits

Kamran is a high schooler

Darius is a ranger, in the us army

SETTING

Kamran is on the high school team, and wants to join the army, and go to an academy to train and join the force, but it is difficult and people look down on him, and his family for being muslim.

Darius is a ranger for the us army, and he has worked a very long time to get here, and has proven his skills to everyone, and shows that he can be a leader, but people look down on him.

In the beginning of the story, they talk about how he is just any other usual boy, in high school, and how he is on the football team, but then all of a sudden, everyone hates him, and his girlfriend leaves him, and everyone starts yelling at him, looking at him weird and his life is ruined. He then sees his brother on TV, and and kamrans reputation is getting even worse, and its not even his own fault. The football team also starts beating up on him a little bit more. (pgs 12-29)

When the story moves forwards a little, he ends up leaving his house, or get literally ripped away from his family, and his house, and everybody, he is out cold, and he doesn't know where he is when he wakes up. He is in a van, and doesn't know where he is going. They then put him into another van, and he wakes up in a cell basically. He still doesn't know where he is, or what is happening. His parents are gone, and he is separated from his parents. He is taken to agents to be examined, and to be looked over, and questioned about his brother, traits, and past. (pgs 29-65)

The most action packed part is when Kamran escapes the CIA base in washington and he is actually getting help from people in the office, because they believe in him and his thoughts the way he was defending his brother. They helped him out and he was being shot at the whole time, and he missed a lot of shots and he got shot back at, and he got a ride from people in the CIA and they took him away from the CIA base, and they just got attacked in their room and they have to go somewhere else.(pgs 65-111)

Dane (CIA agent) and a few other agents got into another hotel and seem to be safe there now. Dane is talking to Kam and seems to be getting in his head, while they are practicing in combat training in the hotel. Kam attacks and get defeated and he learns , and they move on and track the mountains and go horse back riding into the mountain to find the terrorist. They end up finding a cave where the terrorist have been hiding out at.

He ends up finding his brother at the caves, and ends up fighting with him, and actually facing reality. Dane ends up dying and they get rushed in and Kamran wakes up at the football stadium. The are in and the bomb is about to go off and destroy everything. People left and rushed out and they tried defusing the bomb, but he couldn't and they had to rush out and they ran into the main terrorist behind everything and fought her. They win, get detained again and get taken home. They release them in the end, they are free, and Kamran gets to join the army/CIA as he gets older.

"I went and looked at the TV. The vandal as almost finished. In big crooked red letters he'd painted the work TERRORISTS across the front of our house."(pg 52) -Kamran
