Alyssa was getting ready to go to bed for her first day of kindergarten. She was very nervous.

She had never been to school before. She didn't know what the other kids would be like and if she'd make friends.

The next morning she woke up more nervous than she was the night before. She put her favorite outfit on.

But she didn't know what everyone else would think.

As her mom was driving her to school, she couldn't help but feel sad. What if no one liked her.

She said good bye to her mom walked up to her class.

As she was standing by herself waiting to go in the school, a girl walked up to her and said "I like your outfit, do you wanna be my friend?"
