In the great land of Greece, Persephone was eager to see her mother, Demeter. She had to stay in the Realm of Hades for four months, but it was time to go back to Greece.

As she headed to the field of flowers, where her mother usually greets her, no one was there. Persephone waited a little while, but still no one came.

Because of this, she started to weep. Her tears filled into a precious, white flower. The flower produced a golden glow. The glow reminded her of a valuable material that only the purest of immortals drink.

From the Flower, dozens of tiny creatures started to fly out. When Persephone realized these creatures, she said, "I will call you bees."

One of the bees buzzed by Persephone and it cheered her up.
"The black strip on the bee reminds me of when I am sad in the Underworld, and the yellow strip reminds of when I am happy with my mother." Persephone said.
The bee flew to catch up with the other bees that were going inside of a tree. Persephone followed and smelled something familiar.

The bee gave her a drop of the yellow substance and she tasted it. She realized it was nectar, the drink of the gods.

Persephone brought a bee back to Mount Olympus where the gods rules from. She explained to Zeus that the bees could bring the gods their nectar when ever and where ever you want it.
