G'day mate.
We live in Australia and our names are Maya and Levi. Australia's nickname is "The land down under." Australia is a continent and a country. It has large deserts called the outback.

Australia celebrates Australia Day. It is one of our favorites. We like the picnics, fireworks and parades. You might be surprised that in Australia they celebrate Christmas and New Year's Day in the summer.
Our art is usually based on ancient stories and the aboriginal tribes. They often use cloth and paint . They draw pictures of animals.
They use a didgeridoo which is a stick hollowed out by bugs that they blow into to make music. Click sticks are used by Aboriginals. The sticks are tapped together to make music. Musical instruments and folk songs are still played at ceremonies.

We go to school when we are 5 or 6 years old. We learn how to speak different languages. Our elementary school is called primary school.
