One day, Flat Dandelion came to visit me in Hattiesburg. I met her in Tellyride, Colorado during the summer on my family vacation. We have been having fun on our adventures. She showed me around her hometown, so now I am going to teach her about my city.
The first place we visited was the Hattiesburg Visitor’s Center.

A lot of people go there to learn about Hattiesburg and to know where unique places are in Hattiesburg. There is a shop by the front with items made in Hattiesburg only. It is called the Hattie Logo Shop.

Flat Dandelion ate a snack at the Visitor’s Center. She almost got blown away from the picnic table. Everyone laughed.
That day we also went to the Hattiesburg Public Library. The children’s place is bigger than the Oak Grove Public Library. There's a room called The Mississippi Room. It has a lot of artifacts from Mississippi. We saw the mural called “The Spirit that Builds.” It was painted by William Baggett.

Flat Dandelion ran off and acted like she was a book by hiding between the books on the shelf, but I found her. We played with stuffed bears. Then we read a book about the Gingerbread Man. I always kept Flat Dandelion in my sight. The courtyard outside is beautiful. It has a tiny small fountain. It was a little funny looking because everything around it was so big.

Last, we went to the Hattiesburg Train Depot. The Train Depot was built in 1910. That was 106 years ago! In 2000, the Train Depot was built to be even better.
