Hi, I'm Jack and I'm going to tell you all about global warming.

Once upon a time, long ago, there was a planet, called Earth. This planet was much like our planet, with animals, plants and humans just like ours, but there was something different about it. It was colder unlike our hot planet.

But before I tell you about global warming, you need to know what climate change is.

Climate is the weather of a place over an amount of time. This includes rainfall, temperature, wind, snow and hail. So climate change means when the usual weather makes an extreme change. For example, over five years Kariong may be cold and windy but suddenly over the next five years, Kariong may be hot and humid.

The big question now, is

Well, our world is always changing.

And with these changes, we are always discovering new technologies and new ways to live. For example, cars, phones, computers and ways to use electricity.

These new technologies and new ways to live require us to use more and more fuel which produces more and more smoke and pollution. Which is called carbon dioxide or Co2.
