Once upon a time, your parents didn't know each other and maybe weren't even interested in each other when they did meet, but they ended up together and long story short, here you are.
But fate decided your parents would be good together and had them meet. I'm guessing your mom quiet stunning to your dad and your dad made a huge effort to keep her in his arms. But to better explain how all this happened, I'll make up a story for you.

You dropped this, back there.
My name is Michael. Good night.
A woman named Sara was walking home from a work party on New Year's Eve. She was dressed in a beautiful purple gown and she caught the eye of man she walked past on her way home. Then a man ran up behind her and tapped her shoulder. She had dropped a piece of paper. He introduced himself as Michael and wished her a good night.
Later, when she reached her apartment, she looked at the piece of paper. She had not dropped anything at all. Written on one side of the paper, was a cell phone number and the name 'Michael' next to it. This made Sara smile.

The night of the party.

Michael?

Sara sat the next morning, thinking over coffee if she would call the man named Michael. She sighed and finished her coffee, got dressed for work and started her usual walk to the office. She decided she would speak to her best friend/co-worker about the man and then choose if she would call.
Reaching the office, her friend Ingrid ran and handed Sara another cup of coffee. She walked to her desk and asked how Ingrid would handle such a situation. Ingrid got excited of course and responded that she would call the man. Ingrid knew that Sara didn't go out much because she was so busy with work a lot of the time.

Michael?

Yes, who is this?
The girl in the purple dress.
I was just wondering if you were going to call
I'm Sara.
Sara went a few hours drawing up her new ideas for the company, feeling excited to have a possible guy in her life. She closed her sketch book and picked up the piece of paper. She sat and looked at it for a while and sighed, picking up her phone. She dialed the number and by the third ring, he answered. She was extremely nervous about talking to the stranger, but he turned out to be really nice. Michael was brave and asked if she would like to go out for coffee sometime. She hesitated and thought for a moment, then said she would love to. Michael set up a time to meet her at a local cafe and then drop her off at work.

Sara walked into the cafe and sat down at a corner table that sat two, waiting for Michael to show. She knew she was early, but wanted to know what he was like in public. She sat with her back against the wall and took out her sketch book to draw while she waited.
The door chimed as an officer in a dark blue uniform with wings on each shoulder. The man ordered a cup of coffee and turned to look for someone. His eyes landed on Sara and he walked towards her.
"Sara?"
"You didn't tell me you were in the Air Force, Michael."
"It was last minute with the uniform." He smiled at her.

Michael and Sara had spoken for a long time, losing track of time. They had gotten to know each other better and decided that they wanted to go out again. But Sara had forgotten about work. Her cell phone rang and lit up with Ingrid's name on it. She was late.
"Hey Ingrid. Tell everyone I'll be there in ten minutes. I'm so sorry. Yes, okay, later." Hanging up, she panicked. Michael stood and took both their coffee cups and waited til she got off the phone. He stood and held his hand out to her. She followed quickly to his car outside and jumped into the passenger seat. He sped to her office building and walked her up to her office. He smiled at her and left with the promise of another date.

He's military and an officer. Cute too.
The second Michael was out of the building, everyone bombarded Sara with questions. She shut them all out when she tucked away in her office. Ingrid followed Sara and had a big grin.
Sara smiled and pulled out her sketchbook and sat while the TV was playing the news. There was a bomb threat to a nearby train station and military was standing guard, some in dress blues, others in work uniforms. Sara looked up to see military men and women stand in a circle, one of which was a tall man in a dark blue, winged uniform-Michael. He smiled at a marine and then nodded, heading to the news reporter. For the next hour, Michael stood in front of a crowd, answering questions.

A week and a half went by and no call from Michael. Sara was beginning to get disappointed about having hope for the man. She sipped some coffee and ran a black pen over her paper.
A knock at her door sounded and she walked slowly over, opening it to see who needed her attention. Michael was standing on the other side with coffee and flowers. Sara was quiet for a second and walked back to her desk.
"I'm sorry, there was a bit of trouble at work" he said, setting the flowers in front of Sara.
"I saw you on TV. My employees kinda went crazy." Sara mentioned, grinning. She was glad to see him.

Time went on, Sara and Michael went out on plenty of dates and they had even moved in with each other. They were happy and couldn't think of anything to make it better.
Until Sara waited at home for Michael one day, a worried look on her face. Michael ran to her and asked what was wrong. She was quiet and handed him a small box. At first, he just looked at her, not looking at the box. When he did look down, he noticed that it was a test.
"I'm pregnant." Sara whispered, as Michael just stared at the box. She was nervous because Michael and her never brought up the idea of children. Michael kissed he excitedly.

Michael had managed to get some time off as well as Sara. He booked the first trip out to Virginia and asked Sara to meet his parents. She smiled and said she would love to.
The flight was a few hours and Michael bounced his knee excitedly. He hadn't told his family that he was coming, much less with a girl.
When the gates opened, Michael took Sara's hand and walked up to an older couple. The couple hugged Michael tightly and then glanced at Sara. Michael quickly introduced them and his parents hugged her quickly too.
They all headed back to the farm house in which Michael grew up in.

That night at dinner, Michael held Sara's hand and then looked at his parents.
"We are pregnant." He said, looking his father in the eye, hoping for the best. His mother looked at Sara.
" Well, good thing we made pie today. You should get some sleep, dear." His mother said, taking her hand and leading Sara to the guest bedroom.
The rest of the visit, Michael's mother spent next to Sara and Michael's father had even brought her breakfast in bed. They were excited to be grandparents.
