Prologue
Political representation was granted to the people as the new Duma parliament plan. The Czar did not follow the Duma parliament because it was forced upon him. So because of this; nobody got political representation. Inflation became a huge problem because as the cost of product went up, the wages stayed where the were. This is because of all of the money going to financing the first world war. Some people, mostly peasants began to barter their goods because they could not get money to pay for them. In 1917, riots began to break out in St. Petersburg and Moscow. There were storage places for grain and wheat
called granaries. These were often robbed due to
Chapter 1: Provisional Government
- Kerensky tried to make changes by promoting freedom of speech and yet they faced the same problems as Czar.
-He had food shortages, heavy military losses, and groups seeking to overthrow.
-They were facing the pressures from russia's communist party regarding the decision to end russian involvement in the war. The Government ended up with the decision to not end the war and russian involvement continued.
-with the slogan "Land, Peace and Bread" the russian communist party known as the Bolsheviks, were able to focus on what was really important and were able to gain many peasant followers.
Chapter 2: Delivery of Lenin/Rise of the soviets
Lenin was a very dangerous revolutionary who was exiled for treasonous behavior the german government had Lenin go from switzerland, where he lived, and go all the way to Russia. Because of how dangerous Lenin was they had him sealed on a train under agreement and was kept in there from the start to finish of the journey. When Lenin arrived to St. Petersburg he had already begun making trouble. HE plead for the end of the war and a re-distribution of land and the peasants fled to his side.
Chapter 3: The October Revolution
The October Revolution (also called the Bolshevik Revolution) overturned the interim provisional government and established the Soviet Union. The October Revolution was a much more deliberate event, orchestrated by a small group of people. The Bolsheviks, who led this coup, prepared their coup in only six months.

The Confederacy is the name commonly given to the Confederate States of American which existed from 1860-1865 throughout the Civil War. It was started when southern states seceded from the Union after the election of Abraham Lincoln. The Confederate President was Jefferson
