What is self-esteem?
Self-esteem is how confident we are in our own abilities, how valuable we feel, and how much respect we have for ourselves.
How does self-esteem affect body image?
Self-doubt, self-criticism, social isolation, suppressed anger, and shame are all associated with low self-esteem. High self-esteem makes for a confident, proud, and socially competent individual.
How can someone improve their self-esteem?
Forms of self-esteem therapy include discussions with a therapist or loved one, where someone talks about your issues and possible solutions, with a focus on self-compassion. Animal-assisted therapy is another helpful tactic, in which a pet's unconditional love can improve self-esteem.
Chapter Two: Dating Guidelines
What are some characteristics of a healthy relationship?
A healthy relationship is based on mutual respect, trust, honesty, support, fairness, equality, separate identities, good communication, and a sense of playfulness or fondness.
What are some characteristics of an unhealthy relationship?
An unhealthy relationship has one or both partners neglecting, fearing, pressuring, abusing, manipulating, disrespecting, lacking privacy of, or unfairly treating the other.
What are some appropriate conflict resolution strategies?
Seeking counseling from a professional is the best choice in major situations other than permanently separating from one another. In minor conflicts each party should hear the other's stance and come to a mutual decision.

Chapter Three: Sexting Guidelines
What is sexting?
The circulation of sexual messages and photos through a communication source. Often texting, but in some cases social media direct messaging is utilized.
How is sexting used?
Sexting is used to make the sender appear more provocative and desirable to the recipient.
What are the dangers of sexting?
Some dangers of sexting include becoming a predator's target, and exploitation or blackmailing.
What are the consequences for sexting?
Possible jail time for the recipient may occur if the sender is a minor sending inappropriate photos, along with jail time for the sender if they are an adult circulating a minor's sexual photos.

Chapter Four: Dating Violence Guidelines
What are some different types of violence?
Some types of violence include physical, where one is caused bodily harm, sexual, where one is forced to perform sexual acts, and verbal or emotional, where one is thrown harsh insults and threats. A less discussed form of abuse is also controlling, where one is forced to center their lifestyle around the other's judgement.
What is the cycle of violence, and what happens in each stage?
In the cycle of violence there are three stages, the Honeymoon Stage, where the relationship is peaceful, the Rising Tension Stage, where the abusing partner becomes increasingly agitated, and the Violent Stage, where the agitation is taken out on the victim.
What are some resources to get help from?
Getting help can be as simple as consulting a loved one, though in a serious situation the first call made should always be to law enforcement to prevent any worst case scenario.

Chapter Five: Sexual Harassment Guidelines
What are some type of sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment can be unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and any other sort of sexual verbal (or physical) harassment.
How can one respond to sexual harassment?
Reporting the person to their superior is the best thing anyone can do if they want to remain wherever the harassment is taking place, though leaving is a simple solution.
What are the consequences for sexual harassment?
Frequent or severe sexual harassment is illegal and may result in demotion, or even being fired.

What is the difference between cyberbullying and bullying?
Cyberbullying is done online or by text while bullying refers to face-to-face "real life" conflicts.
