Once there was a peddler (רוכל) who sold caps (כובעי מצחייה ). He walked from one village to the next, carrying his caps on his head!
He walked tall and straight, so that the caps would not fall (יפלו).
He walked and shouted:
"Caps! Caps for sale! 50 cents a cap!"

One day, as he was walking through a forest (יער), the peddler felt (הרגיש) very tired (עייף).
He didn't sell any caps that morning, so he decided to rest next to a big tree.
He sat down very tall and straight, so that the caps would not fall.
Soon, he fell asleep.

When he woke up, the peddler felt refreshed (רענן) and ready to continue on his way.
But before he stood up, he lifted his hands to check that the caps were all in place (במקום).
He checked, and checked, but instead of a bunch of caps on his head he found only one!

The peddler looked to the right, and looked to the left, looked to the front, and looked to the back... But there still was just one cap on his head.
"Where are all my caps?!?!?" thought (חשב) the peddler.
Then, he heard a noise from above, in the trees.
The peddler looked up, and saw... Monkeys!
And the monkeys were wearing.... his caps!
