For Calvin and Kennedy.
I love you.

Alarictown was a small quiet place. Everyone helped each other when needed and never took more than they gave. The only thing the townsfolk didn't like was the wolf that howled all the time.
One day, a little girl and her parents moved to town. Kennedy had blonde hair with blue eyes. They moved into the vacant house on top of the hill. The one everyone said was haunted and where the wolf lived.

Everyone stayed away from the house on the hill. They could see the wolf and hear him howl from down the hill and they avoided it. The wolf was scary and rumored to eat anyone who came near.

Kennedy was walking home and met one her neighbors folding clothes. "Hello!" she said as she introduced herself. "My name is Kennedy, I would love to play with you!" The little girl looked away afraid. Kennedy lived in the haunted house on top of the hill. What nice person would do that?

Gemma, the neighbors daughter, told Kennedy, "We can't be friends, you live in the scary house, close to where the wolf howls all the time! No one goes there, it's not safe." She says as she runs away.

Kennedy, a little sad starts to walk home. And stumbles upon the wolf. Forgetting her sadness, she wonders why she's not afraid. Then, she realizes, the wolf is the sad one. He's crying!

"Everyone in town is afraid of you. Why do you howl so much?" Kennedy asks him as she invites him in to get warm.
"People think I'm scary. They don't play with me, and I have no friends. That is why I howl." he cries softly.
Kennedy and the wolf become quick friends. Neither of them have had a lot of luck in making the other kids their friends. But soon, their laughter and games make Gemma curious. "Come join us, we have room for everyone!" Kennedy yells. So she joins them and learns that its okay to be friends with the wolf and the little girl who live in the not so haunted house.
