Once upon a time, there was a sad, stormy, gray cloud called Claudia. She never wanted to hang out in the playground and make friends because she looked different from the other clouds.

She did not know why she was gray meanwhile everyone else was fluffy and white like cotton. Being different made her very shy around other clouds so she didn’t have any friends to play and to talk with.

She would speak to no one but her mother and when she came home from school, she would lock herself up in her room and refused to go outside and play in the neighborhood playground.

“Claudia, I do not like seeing you this sad and lonely. You should go outside and play with the other girls! You’ll see you will feel better!”, Claudia’s mom said.

Claudia sadly responded, “I don’t want to mom, I will probably do something dumb and they will not want to play with me. I’m not really in the mood to embarrass myself.”

“I promise everything will be okay, just be yourself and they will gladly let you join their little group!” Claudia’s mom reassured.

Claudia rolled her eyes, “Fine, I will go to the playground and try to make some friends but if something bad happens, it’s your fault.”

Claudia’s mother was sure that she would have fun and make new friends so she just shook her head and lightly chuckled.
Claudia nervously left her house as her mother watched her leave to the neighborhood playground about a street up her house.
“Have fun Claudia!” her mother said, as she closed the door to the house.

Claudia saw the only ones at the playground were a group of three fluffy, white clouds she usually saw at school, playing jump rope. Their names were Silver, Snow, and Lola.

Claudia started to walk towards them when, BOOM! CRASH! POW! She fell, head first, in the pavement.

“I knew I would do something dumb and embarrass myself. I should’ve never left the house!” Claudia thought to herself.

The group of fluffy clouds stared at Claudia as she stood up to run back home.
