It's good to get alerts of what's happening while you're off of social media. You can have alerts by turning on notifications for the website.

Bad people can use the stuff you put on social media against you, so watch what you put on there or else you could be in a lot of trouble.

You can comment on pictures that people you follow post. It's good to comment on your friends' posts unless you say something mean.

is for DM's

DM's is a common term among people who have an Instagram. You can talk to people through DM's and if your friend doesn't have a phone this is a good way to communicate with them.

is for Emails

This is a more formal; way to communicate with someone. Instead of texting, this is what you should use to talk to a teacher or someone for strictly business purposes.

You can have followers on numerous apps and websites. They should only be people you know including friends, family, classmates, or even teachers and school accounts. Followers are good because then your friends can keep up with you when they aren't around.

is for Ghost Followers

Ghost followers are followers that don't like your pictures, videos, or do anything active with your account. These are bad because they have no benefits to you and could even be a fake account created by a computer.

is for Hashtags

Hashtags are something you use to group a bunch of photos together from many different people. These can be good and bad depending what hashtags you make, because some hashtags don't mean what you think.

Instagram is a social media app that you can post pictures on. You can also message people, post pictures to your story, and make a special type of photo/video called a boomerang. It's a good app because it's easy to use and a lot of people have it.

Joomla! is a cite where you can make social media webpages and websites. You could create the next big social media app on this cite and make millions of dollars, so this is a good place to be on.

is for Kik

Kik is an instant messaging app that you can use to talk to people if you don't have a phone. I don't recommend this app because some people on there are really bad and have put some terrible things on this app.

is for Likes

Likes are something you can add onto a picture or video posted on almost all social media apps. Likes are good because it lets the person owning the photo/video know you saw their post and enjoyed.

is for Mutual Friends

Mutual friends is a term associated with Facebook. This means that people you are friends with have some of the same friends as you and is friends with you too. These are good because you can trust them by knowing your others friends know this person too.

is for News Feed

A news feeds is what all your friends pictures and videos show up on. They are usually located on the home page of whatever social media cite you are on. What you post will show on your friends news feeds as well.

is for Offensive Language

There are many times when you will see photos and videos with offensive language on them. One day some of your friends could even say some offensive things. It's good to report these posts when you see them or block users that are constantly saying bad things.

is for Privacy

On 9/10 social media apps, there's the option to make your account private. You should always have a private account because then you conrtol you follows you and looks at your page. If not, lurkers could creep on your page and possib;y get information they should know.
