Mom finds out she's pregnant with a baby boy!

Before the Baby: Before we got to take home the baby we had to wear the empathy belly to know what it feels like to be pregnant. The belly was heavy and very uncomfortable. It was a struggle to get around the school without someone looking at you or someone saying something. It really did help me understand what it's like to pregnant.

With the Baby: The baby was definitely an experience. Sadly, there was nothing wrong with the system or the baby. We went through everything together, such as crying, burping, changing diapers, rocking and sleeping. There was some nights where Edwin would sleep for 8 hours straight, then there was some nights where he woke up every 30 minutes. But overall he was a pretty good baby.

Post Simulation: After having Edwin for the weekend, I've realized that there's no way I would be able to care for baby right now. Caring for the baby was a lot more difficult then I thought it would be. Even though Edwin didn't do all the things real babies do, I still got the gist of hard it would be to have a baby.

Why I Chose Edwin

I have a friend and his name is Edwin and he is Hispanic. So when I got my baby Edwin is the first name I thought of. He also asked if I would name my baby after him. My baby did not have middle name because I couldn't find one that sounded good with Edwin.

Letter To Baby

From the first time I saw you I knew I loved you more than anything. You were absolutely perfect. I don't know how good of a mother I'll be, all I know is that I was love you with everything I have, support everything you do, and be the best I can be. I love our little family Edwin. I love you so so much.

Summary

1.The parenting simulation was a lot more difficult then I thought it would be. It was like having a real baby.

2. My family didn't like having a crying baby wake them up in the middle of night but they loved playing with Edwin when he wasn't crying.

3. People would give me dirty looks until they realized the baby wasn't real.

4 .I didn't have a social life. I stayed home with the baby because I didn't want to deal with a crying baby in public.

5. I'm going to wait until I'm mentally, emotionally, and physically ready for a baby.

6. You should wait until you know you can care for baby.

7. My parents loved me with everything they had. They loved watching me grow up . It was hard for them but it's hard for everyone.
