This is Jasmine. She has no friends because of how different she is from the other kids.

She doesn’t think before she speaks. She says the first thing that comes to her mind, and sometimes the things she says aren’t very kind.

Her mom tries to teach her to be nice, but she doesn’t seem to understand why she has to be. Jasmine goes to school day after day, but never treats others kindly.

Until, one fateful afternoon she runs into a small woman with wings.

“Watch it!” Jasmine said with her voice risen.

“I’m sorry dear girl, but that isn’t very kind,” The small winged woman said.

“I don’t care. You ran into me.” Jasmine said rudely.

The woman stopped for a minute and thought.

“Well if you can’t learn to be kind then I shall teach you,” said the small woman.

All of the sudden two fluffy ears appeared on Jasmine’s head. Her hands began to grow into two fuzzy paws.

“What is happening to me?” Jasmine shouted.

“That is a simple question dear girl. Until you learn how to be kind you shall be half cat and half girl.”

“I promise I’ll be kind from now on, just please make me normal again! Jasmine said while she cried and pleaded.

“I will change you back once you prove that you can be kind for a whole day.” The woman said.

“But, that is such a long time. I don’t know if I can be for a whole day.” Jasmine replied with a whine.

“Then you shall stay a cat-girl forever.” The small lady said and disappeared.

The following day Jasmine went to school, and all of the kids laughed at her. However, there was one kid who didn’t laugh or make fun of her, which was Jimmy.
