Lunch Time!

There once was a boy, about seven years old, his name was Daniel. He was sitting in class one day, coloring and laughing among his friends, when then the teacher announced “Lunch Time!”

Daniel was sad, for Daniel did not have a lunch.

So as everyone in class ate their lunch and laughed with their friends, and Daniel was sitting alone in angst, trying to hide his hunger.

Mason, another boy from the class notices Daniel sitting alone without a lunch and decides to go over there and talk to him and try figuring out what’s wrong with Daniel.

While Daniel is sitting with his head down, he hears a voice say, “Hey why aren’t you eating, it’s lunch time silly,” Daniel lifted his head and finally realized it was Mason.

Daniel was embarrassed and replied “I don’t have food at home, so I can’t bring a lunch to school.”

Mason pondered and couldn’t figure out what to do, his instincts sparked up and he replied, “Hey do you want half my sandwich and some of my animal crackers?”

So Mason and Daniel, with the biggest smiles you could imagine, enjoyed their shared lunch together.

“Mommy, Mommy guess what I did today???”

Later that day, Mason came home so excited to tell him his mom about his day. “Mommy, Mommy guess what I did today???”

She was confused but happy to see her son excited about something, she responded, “Mason, calm down, what happened today?”
