Little Boy was 9,700 lbs and 10 ft in length and equivalent to 15,000 tons of TNT

Fat Man was 10,800 lbs and also 10 ft in length. It was equal to 21,000 tons of TNT. 10 times more destructive.

Where:

The first bomb, Little Boy, was dropped on Japanese city of Hiroshima.

The second bomb, Fat Man, on Nagasaki.

Who:

The bomb, Little Boy, was dropped by  B-29 Superfortress bomber Enola Gay. The plane was piloted by Colonel Paul W. Tibbets, Jr., commander of the 509th Composite Group of the United States Army Air Forces.

Fat Man was built Los Alamos Laboratory and was dropped from the Boeing B-29 Superfortress Bockscar. It was piloted by Major Charles W. Sweeney.

When:

Little Boy was dropped August 6, 1945, and Fat Man was dropped 3 days later on August 9, 1945
