One night, as I was lying in my bed, I heard a loud bang!

And On the wall right next to me I saw a shadow, a shadow of a monsters hand!

I closed my eyes as tight as could be,

but when I opened them the hand I could still see.

"MUUUUUUUUUMY!" I screamed with a very loud boom,

"There is a big, scary monster in my bedroom!"

This monster was scary and big and pink!

He was going to eat me up, I needed to think.

He picked me up in his giant claw!

When all of a sudden I heard a creak at the door.

My mummy came hurrying into my room,

she turned on the light, as bright as the moon!

The monster disappeared as quick as a flash.

Straight to my mummy, I quickly did dash!

I told my mummy all about the child eating monster.

She frowned and said she would blast away the imposter.

My mummy looked under my bed, in my wardrobe and behind my curtains.

But there was no monster to be found, of that she was certain.

I still wasn't happy.. "There is a monster mummy I have seen him!' I cried.

My mummy looked at me and gave me a smile, "I will scare him then out of the place where he hides."
