To my dad, who tells me these stories at night.
If it wasn't for his liking of adventure, this fun book would have never been available for anyone.

There once was a boy named Johnny. Johnny loved the beach. One day Johnny was at the beach with his curious dog, Speedo. But then, Speedo anxiously ran off into a cave! "Come back!" shouted Johnny, but Speedo was too far into the cave, so Johnny ran in too.
When in the cave, Johnny saw something glowing, and the farther he went in, the smaller it got. Right when it got too small, Johnny came out to a beach, but it wasn't his beach. There were pirates!
"Really Speedo!?" thought Johnny as a pirate said, "Aaar!" So Johnny ran as fast as he could, not knowing were he was going. All of a sudden, he was lost in the forest! As he looked around he heard whispers. All of a sudden, an arrow whizzed past his head!
"Oops!" said a young Indian about Johnny's age, I thought you were a pigmy!" (Pigmies are tiny hooded creatures) "Do you want me to show you our tree fortress? "
"Sure!" said Johnny.
On his way to the treehouse, Johnny tried to imagine what the treehouse would look like. When they got there Johnny realized that the tree house was much bigger and gianormous than he thought.
"So what do you do during the day? " asked Johnny.
"Archery " replied the Indian. "Here, I'll show you."
"See," said the Indian, "Pull the arrow back, make sure it's on the string, aim, and release! Now you try! "
"O. K." said Johnny. So he carefully pulled back, aimed and let go!
"Bulls-eye! " said Johnny.
"You're a natural! " said the Indian.
"Thanks" said Johnny.
"Now lets go build a ship." said the Indian.
"You really know how to do that!?" said Johnny in awe.
" Yep," said the Indian, " Let's go."
"Wow!" said Johnny,"Can you show me how to build one?"
"Sure!" said the Indian. "First you need wood, nails, and a hammer." After six hours they were finished!
"Do you want to try it out?" said the Indian.
"Sure!" replies Johnny.
A little later... "Wow!" said Johnny, "This is so cool!"
"I'm glad you like it" said the Indian.
"Uh-oh" said Johnny. "The sun is setting!"
"Let's go home then," said the Indian.
When they were safe in the tree fortress, the Indian introduced Johnny to the crew and the chief, Chief Wamponog. "I see you have made friends with Lian" he said.
The next day Johnny hears lian calling for him. "Hey Johnny!"said Lian, "The chief said we need more sticks for the central fire. Do you want to help?"
"Sure!" said Johnny. After one hour they were done. "There!"said Lian, "That should be enough."
