I dedicate this book to Omar Chaudhry because he is my cousin and best friend. Additionally, I used him as an inspiration for one of my characters. I also dedicate this book to the friends of the rouge river community. Also to Ayan Haider because he helped me brainstorm this idea.  As the sun rose, its bright light work up the word surrounding the Rouge River. The moon was already disappearing, and the current was picking up speed, ready to begin a new day. Bubbles, the fish, jumped out of the lake, ready for a new day and ready to play with his friends.

Bubbles thought, "I love the view from here. I'm glad this isn't a dream." He swam down till he bumped into his brother. 

Turning around, he looked back. Instead of his brother, he found Pepsi soda can and a couple of snicker bar wrappers.

Aghast, he wondered and wondered. Then he blacked out and sank far below the waves.

When Bubbles woke up, he looked around squinting as he thought about where he was. He was scared, but continued to search for his brother, Mater. Mater popped his face up through the ripples of water.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Why what's the matter?" Bubbles cried.

"Well you have been asleep for three days. We were really worried about you."

Bubbles stammered back "Really? what happened?"

Mater replied, "I'm not sure but we should go."

Bubbles cried in alarm, "I can't move. My fins are stuck!!!"

Mater swum around Bubbles and saw a plastic ring stuck on one of his fins. "Don't move you; you'll hurt yourself!" he yelled.

But it was too late. Bubbles panicked and started swimming as fast as he could back to safety.

When he looked around he saw the blue waters turn to brown waters. He looked again and realized something is missing. He did not see the fish swimming.

"What's going on Mater?" Bubbles complained.

"Trash is being dumped into the river," Mater responded. "By who?" exclaimed Bubbles.

Bubbles thought for a while. He wanted to stop what was happening. "But where was the trash coming from?" he wondered anxiously. Ignoring the pain, he surfaced. He saw the a family who was camping and he looked around. A little boy saw him and wondered over to him. Bubbles spoke to him. "Your family is throwing trash into my home."
