To Mr. Clark,
for giving us a second chance

Once upon a time, there was a Presidential election. Four men wanted to be President of the United States. Only two of them had a chance, and only one could win.

One of these front runners was a man named John Quincy Adams (JQA for short). JQA was a Democratic-Republican who was ready to get what he wanted, no matter the cost.

The other was Andrew Jackson. This man had everything going for him. He was a war hero in the War of 1812 and the Seminole War, owned a plantation with slaves, and believed in democracy. Jackson was running to represent the common man.

When election day finally came, JQA and Jackson were tied. The results of the election were all up to one man: Henry Clay.
