This Book is dedicated to my wonderful family, Thank you for always being my word of encouragement.

I could feel the tingling sensation at the back of my neck, as if I was right there in the moment.
The air was filled with her scent, filled with the goodness of a smell I’ve never smelt before a scent I knew I would never forget and that was when it hit me, it must have been her first time.
How could I not have known, the signs were all there, the nervousness, the biting of the lips and the sweaty palms; it all began to seem clearer now and made much more sense as to why she wouldn’t let me hold her.

“My Gosh!” how could I have been such an idiot, I rushed to
the window to see if she had caught a cab already but obviously, she was nowhere in sight, I reached for my phone to call but
was greeted with a blank phone, no battery, no life, my phone was dead.
My heart began pounding, my mind was in a mess and so I did what I thought was the best thing to do, I ran.
I ran all the way to her house, now six blocks didn’t seem so far.

Out of breath and sweating I reached for the doorbell but decided to pound on the door instead,
accompanied by loud shouts of “Cassidy! Cassidy!” aware of the time but didn’t care because I wanted to tell her, I needed to let her know how sorry I was.
Before she could open the door, I heard her screaming “go away!” my heart clenched but I needed to tell her, I couldn’t leave it like this. “I’m sorry Cassidy, I know it now” I said through a close door.
She must have felt my pain because without any further delay she opened the door.
