To: Dad

Life is a journey. It's full of ups and downs, but teaches you how to persevere, in the most challenging times of your life.
My dad, Abid Khan grew up in a house in India. He lived with his four brothers and three sisters along with his parents and grandparents.

He had a farm with three cows and four chickens. Every morning, he would go with his dad to get eggs and milk the cows for their breakfast.

His family was struggling in India. So his dad found a better paying job to support a family of twelve people.

His family moved to a small house in Karachi, Pakistan. It was a struggle for him and his siblings because they had to find new friends, adapt to a new school and house.

When my dad was in his twenties, he decided that he wanted a more successful life than his parents.

He decided to leave to Japan. He chose Japan because he can make more money to help support his family and is not so far away from Pakistan.

In Japan, he moved to his first apartment with five roommates who soon became his friends. He struggled a lot to communicate with his peers and to find a job.
