I am a nine-year old girl who dropped out of school to work in a sweatshop to help make money for my family.

Like 168 million others kids I work from 9am to 9pm in an unhealthy environment, called sweatshops.

My dream is to one day be able to go to school to learn how to read and write and to become a teacher.

My friends and I make 0.50 cents for every 500 shirts that are trimmed correctly.

Each day was the same for me. I woke up, trimmed shirts, and then went to bed. Until one Monday afternoon we had someone new come in who changed my whole life.

She was in her mid 30's and her name was Alisa. She had never worked in a sweatshop and I was in charge of her and taught her what work needed to be done.

She was very different. She always asked us questions and liked to explore the factory.

One day I saw her with this weird box object during our lunch break. She was pointing it right at the looms and it looked like she was trying to hide it.

I walked up behind her to ask her what it was and she got really scared. She said she was a spy and that it was a camera.

She wanted to save us! She made me promise not tell anyone. Alicia said that once she helps free us from the sweatshops, I can go to school and live my dream to become a teacher.

I was so excited and I wanted to help her. She had a notepad and I told her everything I had been through.
