I am a teeny tiny person. Well... not really. I'm
actually 4 feet 7" tall perfect for a 9 year old girl. But
when I say I'm a teeny tiny person I mean that
metaphorically. I get bullied all the time and I'm
always ignored. For that reason I only have two
friends. Sara and Mike. Sara is only a few weeks
younger than me her birthday being July. 17th. 2002
and mine being June. 22nd. 2002. And Mike is about 6
months younger than me his birthday being
December. 19th. 2002. Just a little extra information.
Now... our story just happens to begin on my birthday
last year...

I was sitting in my room quietly reading a book in tittled
The world of tiny people. A book about well... a world of
tiny people. They do the same things we do. They have a
school, a hospital, a trainstation, an airport, even a mini
Cn tower! This book was so interesting! Right now they
were fighting off the humans who were trying to squash
them! I repeat... today was my birthday and I didn't have
any plans. Usually on those kinds of birthdays my friends
and family would surprise me with a surprise party. Like
last year on my birthday I had no plans so my parents
and Sara and Mike threw me a surprise party. It freaked
me out when they surprised me though because I was
just peacefully sitting my room when baam! The door
slammed open and everyone yelled, "Happy birthday!"
But this year I was ready for anything! Except what
happened next...

I felt something tickling me. "What's tickling me?" I
asked myself. I turned to look at my arm and shined
my desk lamp (That looks like a light house.) over
my arm so I could see better. "Oh it's just an ant." I
said. "I ain't no ant!" I heard the ant yell! "Wait a
minute." I said looking at my arm closer. "Did that
ant just talk?" I asked myself. "I ain't no ant didn't
ya hear me?!" The (Not.) ant asked yelling. "Oh my
gosh that not ant really did just talk!" I yelled
excitedly freaking out. "Now don't ya start freaking
out!" He instructed yelling. "Okay one why are you
yelling and two who are you?" I asked him. "Well I'm
yelling so ya can hear me!" He answered yelling.
"Okay... well who are you?" I repeated my second
question. "Well I'm

a little person of course!" He answered yelling.
"Well I knew that!" I said obviously. "I meant
what's your name." I corrected myself. "Oh well
I'm Jed!" He answered yelling. "Joad?!" I asked
yelling. "Oh ya don't have to yell I can hear ya just
fine!" Joad told me yelling. "Oh... sorry Joad." I
said. "It's Jed not Joad!" He yelled. "Jude?" I
asked. "Uh! Just put me in your ear." He told me
yelling. "Okay." I said. "Oh so that ya hear!" He
said yelling. I picked him up and placed him on my
shoulder in front of my left ear. "I'm Jed!" He yelled
in my ear. "Oh you didn't have to yell!" I yelled.
"That's pay back for yelling at me when I could
here you just fine." Jed said. "Now wait a minute...
one more question. Why are you here

anyway?" I asked. "Well who better to help a person
that feels small than a person that really is small." Jed
said happily. "Now... what's your name?" Jed asked.
"Megan." I answered. "Nice name." He complimented.
We just stood there silently for a few minutes. "So...
what do we do now?" I asked Jed. "Well just... do what
you would normally do." Jed told me. "Okay. Well... I'm
a little bit hungry." I told Jed. "Well ya don't need me to
tell ya to get a snack." Jed said. So I went and opened
the door. "Happy birthday!" My parents and Sara and
Mike yelled when I opened the door. "Oh my gosh
finally! I knew you would be throwing me a surprise
party because I had no plans again this year!" I yelled.
"It's your birthday?" Jed asked whispering in my ear. I
nodded because if I answered it would sound out of
place. "Why are you nodding?" Sara asked. "Because
ah... because... Well because...

because I can hear the music playing down stairs and
it's head bopping rock." I lied. But as I said that I really
could hear head bopping rock music from down stairs.
"Oh. Okay." Sara said. "Now let's go dance to that rock
music." Mike said. "Cool let's go." I said. Then Sara
Mike and I started running down the hall. "Nice save."
Jed whispered. "Thanks." I whispered. "But one thing."
Jed whispered. "Yeah?" I asked whispering. "Why are
there only two kids at this party?" He asked whispering.
"Oh because their the only two people that are nice and
listen to me. Everyone else either bullies me or ignores
my entire existence." I told him whispering. "Oh that
can't be true." Jed whispered. "Oh just wait until school
tomorrow." I whispered. "Here we are." I heard Mike
say. I turned my head and looked up. The living room
looked so partyish! There were streamers, balloons, a

pinata, music, chips, candy, presents, and... party! "Oh
thank you guys!" I yelled. "Oh your welcome." Sara
said. "It was nothing." She added. "No it's not nothing!"
I yelled hugging my two friends. "This is really sweet
guys." I said continueing to hug them. "Well it's the
least we could do." Sara said. "Now let's get our party
on!" Mike said releasing himself from the hug. We
danced and ate and I broke the pinata!

"Time for presents!" Sara yelled. "Ooh finally!" I yelled
sitting in the middle of the sofa beside my two friends.
"Open mine last." Sara said. I went to go grab Mike's
present. "Ooh open mine second last." Mike said.
"Okay." I said picking up my parent's present. I opened
it and inside was a book making kit! "Oh my gosh thank
you!" I yelled. "Now what did Mike get me?" I asked
looking at him as I picked up his present. Inside was a
make your own movie kit! "So do you like it?" Mike
asked. "No." I said as Mike gave me a funny look. "I
love it!" I yelled. "Now what did Sara get me?" I asked
shaking her present. Inside was a make your own doll
kit! "Oh I've always wanted to make my own doll!" I
yelled. "Oh I knew you would like it!" Sara yelled
hugging me. We partied for a few more minutes then
had pizza then the party was over. "Uh. BEST 9TH
BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER!" I yelled. "Yeah great party.

Even though I didn't really get to party." Jed said. "Oh
but you know why you couldn't." I reminded him. "I
know but I still should be able to dance a little." Jed
said. "Oh Jed Jed Jed." I said putting him on my dresser.
He crossed his arms. "Oh don't be so down little fella." I
said tussling his hair. "Don't tussle my hair! And don't
call me little fella!" He said yelling. "Uh I'm sorry Jed." I
said laughing and getting into my pajama's. "No I'm
serious don't call me little fella!" He yelled. I got into
bed. "Uh... good night Jed." I said turning off the light.
"Oh come on!" Jed yelled.

The next day. "Are you ready Jed?" I asked him. "Yup."
He answered. "So remember just try to stay behind my
hair so you don't get noticed." I said recapping our
plan. "Alright I got it can we just go now?" Jed asked.
"Sorry I'm just a little nervous it's my first time doing
this." I apologized. "Oh that's alright I'm a little nervous
too." Jed said. Then we walked out of the door. But at
that moment an evil tiny person crawled out from under
the book which was laying open cover side up holding
my page.

At school everything was going great. "Alright now I'm
going to show you that everyone other than Mike and
Sara either bullies me or ignores my entire existence." I
told Jed. "Okay but I still don't believe you." Jed said. I
went up to Jack and asked, "Hi Jack what's up?" "Get
out of my way loser." He said roughly pushing me to the
side. "Ow." I said rubbing my arm on where he pushed
me. "Why don't you just tell a teacher?" Jed asked
whispering. "I have but they never stop." I told him.
"Now that still doesn't prove that some people ignore
your entire existence." Jed said whispering. "I'm getting
to that." I told him. "Hey Tracy." I said. She didn't say
anything to me she just walked away. "See I told you." I
said to Jed. "Told me what?" Dan asked. "Uh nothing." I
said. "Oh thanks for bugging me for no reason jerk." He
said. "Okay that's definitely proof." Jed said. "See I told
you." I said. "Okay I admit you were

right." Jed said. "See I told you." I said. "Okay okay I
said you were right." Jed said. Then the bell rang. RING!
"Okay so it's time for class so try and be extra quiet." I
told Jed. "Alright I'll try." Jed said. "Okay good." I said.
"Wait a minute I just need to get a few last scream's out
of me." Jed said. "Okay but make it quick." I told him.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Jed screamed. I covered
my ear's because he was so loud. "Did you say
something?" Dan Towle (A bully) asked. "Uhm no." I
said taking my hands off my ear's. "Uh stop wasting my
time loser!" Dan said annoyed. "I told you be quiet Jed
you could get me into a lot of trouble." I told him again.
"Okay I'm sorry." Jed said. "That's okay." I said walking
into the classroom door. 5 minutes into class Jed said,
"This is so boring!" Everyone in the class turned and
looked at me. "What did you say?" The teacher asked.
"Um nothing." I said quickly. "That's what I thought you
