This is dedicated to my son, Sebastian. I hope that when he is able to read this book he will be inspired to make this world a better place.

Sebastian was an orphan boy that lived-in Italy. He was 12 years old but had seen more than people three times his age.

One day, looking for food, he stumbled upon an old dirty sack. He looked around and lifted the sack up to see if anyone would claim it.

Since no one said anything, he looked inside and wondered if he would find food.

Instead of food, he found a wooden jewelry box. It looked so fancy and important, Sebastian thought.

He opened the box and there he found three precious stones, a ruby, diamond and emerald. Attached to the stones was a note and it read the following: whomever is kind enough to have found this box with the three magical stones, these are your following orders.
You must go around the world and use these stones to help people. The ruby brings love, so strong that it can stop wars. The diamond cures people, this is so powerful that it can heal children that are very sick. The emerald brings food, it produces trees and other food as valuable and as green as the stone itself. You must not be selfish or suffer the consequences. To make the stones work just plant them like a tree.
Sebastian thought carefully about what the note said. He knew he had to do the right thing.

So, he embarked on the first ship going south, crossing the Mediterranean Sea. This is where he would use the first stone, the ruby.
