Many people have ridden planes before and probably get afraid of a crash. But really, a plane is the not only the fastest way to get places but safest way as well. But just in case you're stuck in an emergency, which is pretty rare, you should read this book and follow the safety tips and guidelines, or not, at your own risk. Did you know in the last 10 decades there have only been about a few thousand plane crashes? You are more likely to crash a car or train than an airplane.
Safety Tip #1- The 90 Second Rule.
If by chance your flight crashes, you shouldn't be distracted. In fact, you should find the nearest exit.
If there is smoke, cover your nose and mouth.
It is best if you leave the plane in 90 seconds, because that is the safest timing. People are probably glad they survived the impact, but the fire kills most. People think they have 30 min, but in reality a fire spreads a plane in only 90 seconds timing.
Safety Tip #2- Where you sit.
People say that sitting in the back is the safest. Actually, you are pretty safe if you are sitting in the back, but even safer near the exit.
It's best if you sit in one of the 6 rows away from the exit. If you aren't really near the exit, sit at an aisle seat.
People sitting near aisle seats have a more likely chance to survive than people sitting in the window seats.Studies also show people sitting in the front are less safe then people sitting in wing seats or the back.
Safety Tip #3-Your Brace Position
There are different positions to brace if you have a child, if you have a seat in front of you, and if you don't have a seat in front of you. Take a look at the brace position chart:

Safety Tip #4- Oxygen Masks
Some people say that if oxygen masks drop, you can survive maximum 1 hour before you need to put it on. But if oxygen masks drop, you should put it on immediately, even if the oxygen is still balanced. You don't know the reason why they fell, and it might be serious, and you don't know when the oxygen would run out. You should put on your mask first before helping others, or else your brain isn't working well without oxygen. Your oxygen mask will take about 10-12 minutes until it runs out, which is enough time for the captain to get enough altitude to land.
Safety Tip #5-Go in Big Planes.
Bigger planes have more energy absorption than small ones, so they have less deathly force.
Choose 737s over puddle jumpers.
You have a higher survival rate than small planes or jets.
