Welcome to my class! I am so excited for the school year to begin.  I start every class with project called "All About Me." This year it will be a little different.  Instead of making boxes we are making books.  I love learning about you and I can't wait to read your book. 

I was born in a small town in Iowa.  From there I moved to Carrollton, MO when I was a freshman in high school.  I graduated from Carrollton High School and then received my Bachlor's in biology from Missouri Valley College, my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from UCM, and my Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University.  

I taught my first year in Breckenridge, MO.  I then taught 10 years in Carrollton.  Then in 2013 I began teaching at Fort Osage. I love what I do and I can't wait to get started again this year.

I work a second full time job.  I am also a pharmacy technician at Walgreens.    

When I am not at work I enjoy (or have in pre-covid times) Kansas City Chief games and Kansas City Maverick games.  I hope to still get to have hockey this year.  The season will start in December instead of October.  

I love my family.   My parents live with me.  My sister and her dog work at Fort Osage too.  My brother and my nephews live up near Carrollton.   

I have five dogs. They are all rescues.  They range in age from 2-15.
