Proverbs 15:13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.

Farmers are always getting their soil ready for planting. It takes knowledge and a willingness to work to grow something worth while. Joy is something that is a product produced with the right elements. Let's take a little joy journey!

Think about this for just a minute.
No farmer will go to all the hard work of preparing the soil to plant and then not know what kind of seed he is planting! Good seed will produce good yield and bad seed will not! Sounds pretty simple doesn't it?

Look at all these weeds! Weeds don't have to be planted they grow naturally! Adam and Eve are to blame for the curse of weeds and other choking destructive devices caused by sin! Disobedience to God always brings entangling troublesome problems!

Life Death
We have a choice to make about our life!
Will we choose the path of life and eternal joy, or will we choose eternal torments away from all that's clean and precious and holy? We can sow seeds of rebellion and die, or sow the seeds of peace and joy!

So what is the key that unlocks our potential to have great joy and life and peace? The very first key is the key of salvation! There can be no permanent joy without it!

Right there on an old rugged bloody cross Jesus Christ died for the sins of the whole world. There is no heaven without a personal repentance and acceptance of his sacrifice. He gave his life for you, and I and for all who trust him!

Now lets see what God says in his word about having joy!
Isiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Psalm 89:15-16 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
