In a time where there was only water as far as the eye could see. There were many of animals swimming in the water, but above there was a land past the clouds. Then one day in the sky land the wife of the chief had a dream of the big tree being uprooted. When the chief sent men to uproot the tree they failed, for then the chief himself had to uproot it. The wife looked down the hole where it was uprooted, when she leaned too far and fell down all the way to the water grabbing a few seeds as she fell.

Far below the skyland laid an island filled with birds, a muskrat, and a great turtle. The animals watched as she fell farther and farther into the waters below.

The muskrat told the women to swim to the bottom of the ocean and get a handful of the soil below. The women agreed and dove into the water. As she swam farther and farther, the ground below seemed to be gone but as she swam deeper the soil seemed to be visible. As she was about to lose consciousness the muskrat grabbed her and brought her to the surface. She then placed the soil in her hand on the Great Turtle's back and the world began to grow and the women dropped the seeds from the tree and life began.
