 Ruby wanted to win everything. She just can't 

stand losing. She'd won a trophy for a 

storytelling contest and she won a green 

badge for swimming. But Ruby was still not 

happy. One day, the news reported, "There will 

be a sunflower growing contest and whoever 

wins will get $500 in cash and a family of three 

vacation to Canada. Whoever grows the tallest 

sunflower will only win and the contest ends on 

this Saturday." 

Ruby was so excited that after hearing the 

news, she rushed out of the house and bought 

some sunflower seeds.

         But Ruby was more shocked 

when his classmate and also her 

enemy, Tim, was entering the contest 

too! But Ruby said to herself,"Tim will 

never win." 

When is it

going to grow?

          After days, Ruby got bored 

but the next day......

Wow! That is one big

and tall sunflower!

        Ruby was so happy that she was 

beaming. But soon, she felt tired and she 

decided to have a nap in her bedroom. 

But soon, she spotted Tim's tall 

sunflower...

Isn't that 

Tim's 

sunflower?

      The next day....

           ?

Yeah!!!

Ruby!!!

Stop

Shouting!

Ok Mum.

Go away Kenny.

I am very bored.

Ok. Let's play
