"Things are seldom what they seem."
- W.S. Gilbert

The world is an amazing place filled with millions of different animal and plant species. Science can explain a lot about what happens on Earth. But sometimes there are things that happen for which there is no explanation.
One fateful September day, something very strange happened. It left the world's brightest minds baffled. All of the volcanoes in the world erupted. Scientists and volcanologists were stunned by this global sensation.
Before anyone could make sense of what just happened, the eruptions stopped almost as soon as they had began. The volcanoes actually didn't really do that much damage. People were understandably frightened by the sudden loud rumbling and billowing smoke that filled the sky.
The only thing that seemed a little unusual was the heavy orange hue that coloured the sky. And even that didn't last very long before things went back to normal. While the sky returned to its regular brilliant blue, things felt different. It was hard to describe but people felt something strange in the air.

After the brief interruption, New York City returned to its crazy, busy self. The streets were packed with cars and people all in a hurry to get somewhere. The volcanoes erupting had been a nice distraction from the daily hustle and bustle of life in the big city. But now it was time to get back to the daily grind.

The wildly popular plane tours of NYC had resumed with tourists anxious to get a bird's eye view of "The Big Apple." "Over there you can see The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and The Empire State Building. Wait! A Tyrannosaurus Rex???"

Yes you read that correctly, one of the most feared predators from the prehistoric age was spotted in New York. People began to flee as the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a creature thought to be long extinct, was roaming the streets of their city.

THE END
IS NEAR!

"Brother Dinosaur, can't we all just get along?" asked a man holding a sign. The T-Rex walked over top the man and continued to terrorize New Yorkers. Miraculously the man survived being squashed by a dinosaur only to be run over by a cyclist fleeing the rampaging beast. "I'm alright. Can you help me up? Hello? Anyone?"

The police tried in vain to stop the marauding monster. Their bullets were no match for the giant beast's tough, scaly skin. The T-Rex crushed the police cars sending the officers running for their lives. The Tyrannosaurus was an unstoppable force. It was time to call in the military.
