Well first I should mention that we have a federal (or central) government and a state government, both having different powers. Let's go on a tour so I can show you!

This is a great example an enumerated power of the federal government, one of which being the right to raise and maintain armed forces.

The federal government also has the right to create postal systems! You can come here to send and receive mail.

Let's talk about what the states can do, called reserved powers. One of them is providing public education!
