Step One:
Stimulus causes calcium to be released from sarcoplasmic reticulum, the calcium binds to troponin and moves tropomyosin out of the way to expose an active site on the actin filament.

Gee Whillikers, Steven! You just made Calvin leave Sarah! Calvin and Trevor play together, and make Travis jealous so he leaves, this leaves Ace with no one to play with!

Step Two:
Energized myosin heads rise up and attach to the active site on actin - this forms a crossbridge
Yay, now I can play with Ace on the “cross-bridge”

Step Three:
Myosin head pivots creating powerstroke, releasing adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and phosphate (P)
I run around Ace on the “cross bridge” making a “power stroke”, Arthur and Pheobe see the fun Ace and I are having and come to join!

Step Four:
The crossbridge detaches because ATP (adenosine triphosphate) binds with myosin head
