Maria is excited to begin her studies at her new boarding school. She can only imagine all of the friends that she will make. She cannot wait to hear all about their journey to the school.

She entered the office and announced "Hola" to a girl named Chen. Maria was a bit sad that Chen did not respond.The teacher explained that all of the students spoke different languages from around the world.

In the classroom, the teacher gave each of the students instructions that only they could understand. At the top, it said "These all say the same thing!"

It the study room, Chen, Maria, Cody, and Isabella think about the paper. If they speak different languages, how did the teacher expect them to tell their stories to each other?

Suddenly, Maria jumps up with an idea. She motions her hands to point at Isabella and direct her to come to her.

Without thinking, Isabella jumps up and moves towards Maria. Her idea would work! They could talk to each other with their hands.

The four new friends run into the office to tell the teacher of their plan. They would find ways to use their hands for each word of their stories.
