In the YouTube video, Mashable reported, “You are probably addicted to the internet. Social media, websites and smart devices are changing the way we think and act on and offline."I use technology on a daily basis and I completely agree with Mashable (2015), as I use the Internet and smartphones for things like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, gaming, YouTube, assignments, research and many other types of social media to keep connected and updated with the community, family and the world. Just like Amber Cases (2010), video also mentions that technology is not taking over but actually helping people to connect to each other in the whole world.

Am I addicted to Technology?
Chen (2015), wrote the article about "Asia's smartphone Addiction" on BBC News:
"Smartphones are readily available to very young children here as part of their school curriculum," he said.
In Singapore it is not uncommon for homework assignments to be set via WhatsApp.
A recent study surveyed almost 1,000 students in South Korea, where 72% of children own a smartphone by the age of 11 or 12 and spend on average 5.4 hours a day on them - as a result about 25% of children were considered addicted to smartphones.

According to the Jason Silva's video from the module....We have consumed the technology in a way where it has become apparently literal part of us. We have reached a point where most people in the world are so dependent and addicted to technology; they have essentially outsourced parts of their mind to technology. This means that technology can expand our knowledge but it also means we are more or less dependent upon technology, and we get addicted to it and made it a part of us.
It has been said that “mobile is the next big thing.” It’s not up and coming; it’s already here. Cellphones statistics according to the Canadian graphics in this module:
