This is a group or cluster of islands found in the open sea formed from volcanoes erupting! The entire country of Japan is an archipelago.

This is a body of water partially enclosed by land. The San Francisco Bay is an example.

A canyon is a deep and narrow valley with steep walls. There is sometimes a river flowing at the bottom The Grand Canyon is one of the 8 wonders of the world!

is for Desert.

This is a very dry region with very little or no trees. You can find cactus here and there isn't much rainfall!

is for the Equator!

This is an imaginary line drawn around the earth equally distant between the north and south poles, dividing the earth into northern and southern hemisphere.

is for Fjord.

This is a narrow inlet of the sea between high cliffs or banks. Fjords were created by glaciers.

is for Glacier.

A glacier is a slowly moving huge mass of ice formed by snow on mountains or near the poles.

is for Hill.

A hill is a mound of land, usually round in shape, that is higher than surrounding land but not as high as a mountain.

is for Island.

An island is an piece of land completely surrounded by water. The Philippines, Japan, New Zealand, and Indonesia and Australia are all countries consisting entirely of islands.

Juvenile water is water to comes out of the Earth like from a spring or a well.

This is a small very rounded hill.

is for Lake.

A lake is a large body of water surrounded by land.

is for Mountain.

A mountain is a very high, rocky formation with steep sides and a pointed or rounded top. Mountains are higher than hills.

is for Nomadic.

This word relates to people or animals who move their whole life to another area depending on the time of year. When it gets cold, they will usually move to warmer regions.

is for Ocean.

Oceans are the largest bodies of salt water. They surround all the continents and cover more than 70% of the Earth’s surface. The oceans of the Earth include the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Antarctic oceans.

is for Peninsula.


A peninsula is a strip of land connected to a larger land mass and extends into a body of water. Florida is a peninsula.
