"How the Fennec Fox Got It's Big Ears" is a creation myth that was created to explain the world.

One day a fox family had sent their youngest little fox, Fin, to go listen to the Native Americans. They sent him because the Native Americans were going to expand their reservation onto the fox's home. So they sent little Fin on his way to the reservation.
Fin was trying to get as close as he could to their meeting without being noticed. Fin was small so he thought that would be easy, but it was not as easy as he thought. Fin had been noticed by their Chief.
Fin started running away. "Come here!" shouted the Chief." Fin cried, "I'm just trying to help my family!" The Chief laughed, "I don't care what you are doing, so come here right now!"
The Tribe started praying to their God, Blue-jay, hoping he would do something to make him stay.

Blue-jay had froze little Fin in the spot he was standing. While Fin was frozen the Chief had reached down and pulled on his ears. Causing his body to stay where it was and his ears to get long. The Chief yelled, "You stay off my reservation!" He then sent little Fin home crying.
When Fin got back to his family, they were disappointed to learn that the had not found out anything. They were also very disappointed about how he now looked.
