There once was a spider who lived with a lot of different animals.

One day, Spider saw Elephant and noticed something. Elephant had a tail, but Spider did not.

"Hey Elephant, can I have your tail?" Spider asked. "No," said Elephant.

As Spider kept walking, he ran into Tiger. "Hey Tiger, can I have your tail?"

"No," roared tiger. "My tail is mine!"

Spider was getting discouraged, but he did not lose hope. He saw Alligator and asked him, "Alligator, can I have your tail, please?"

"No," snapped Alligator. "You are a spider. Spiders do not get tails."

Spider was now getting sad. When he saw Monkey, he sadly asked him, "Monkey, can I pretty please have your tail?"

"No," Monkey laughed. "I need my tail to climb on trees."

At this point, Spider was very sad. Snake saw how sad Spider was and asked him what was wrong.

"I don't have a tail," Spider said. "And it makes me feel sad and different."

"You are a spider," Snake said. "You do not need a tail. Spiders need eight legs and no tail."

"I do not have any legs. But that is because I am a snake, and snakes do not need legs. Snakes need long bodies."

"Every animal is made in a perfect way." Snake said. "Elephants have their trunks, monkeys have their tails, and tigers have their stripes."

"No animal is like the other. That is what makes us so special and unique."
