Solfege Syllabels help us know what notes to sing. We put a word to a note and then you can sing anything. There are seven basic syllables you need to know.

We start with the syllable Do. Do is the note you start on. We can remember Do by using a hand sign and putting a picture to the syllable. For example a doe is a female deer.

Re is the second syllable. It comes right after do and is higher in pitch. We can remember it by knowing the hand sign and associating it with a picture. For example Re is like a sting ray you find in the ocean.

Mi is the third syllabel after Re. This will be slightly higher than Re. We can remember it by doing the hand sign and knowing that Mi is the same as me myself.
