All I Want For Christmas Is A Dinosaur

Emily was writing out her Christmas list to give to her Mom and Dad. There wasn’t much she wanted but one thing, a Dinosaur. She really, really wanted a Dinosaur.

She liked Sauropods because they were green and had really loooooong necks. They weigh around 100 tons.

She liked Stegosaurs because they had cool spikes on their backs. 

She even liked Cerapods because they had horns on their head.

Emily went to her Mom and Dad with her List!

"Mom, Dad" she said

"I Really want a Dinosaur for Christmas!"

Her Mom and Dad paused for a moment.

Emily, a Dinosaur is way too big and they would eat us, her Mom said!

Emily went away for a second and came back with her Dinosaur book.

No Mom. See, look! This Dinosaur is a Triceratops and they are herbivores! They don’t eat meat! So, they won’t eat us!

You’re right! But, that dinosaur is still way too big said Dad. 

"It wouldn’t fit in our house!"said mom. 

Emily was determined to get a dinosaur and had to stop and think! 

She knew her parents were right. A Triceratops would be way too big!

But she didn’t give up.

Oh, I know!!!

Chaoyangsaurus!

They are only 3 feet tall and they are leaf eaters!

Mom and Dad were reluctant to tell Emily.

"Emily Dinosaurs went extinct 65 million years ago. They aren’t around anymore."
