Hello, My name is George! I am a plant that needs photosynthesis to survive. Do you know what that is? Well I'm going to tell you!

I need photosynthesis to survive, which means that I need sunlight, energy, water, and carbon dioxide.

In order to get energy I have to get it from the sun which I can then make into food!

I then turn that food into energy so that I can make glucose and oxygen. I make oxygen so that you can breathe.

I make glucose by putting chlorophyll, carbon dioxide, and water. Which makes a sugary liquid that gets produced from my leaves.

When I am making glucose, I am also making oxygen that is being produced as a by-product.

I produce oxygen so that all living things can breathe and create more energy for other plants, and animals.

With the oxygen I produce you breathe it in and then create carbon dioxide. How neat is that?
