Once upon a time, there was a lonely scarecrow named Flannel. Flannel sat and listened to the crows that filled his field.

Flannel wished he could be friends with someone, but he never had the chance to make any friends.

One day he heard from the crows that Frankenstein is having a party. The crows asked, "did you get invited?" Flannel responded "No I did not."

When he heard that Frankenstein was having a party. He went up to Frankenstein and said, "Can I be invited to your party? I have no friends and I would love to be your friend."

Frankenstein answered to Flannel and said "If you can scare away Gasper the Ghost, then you can come."

The next day, Flannel decides to scare Gasper. Flannel comes up behind Gasper and screams,

"BOO!"

BOO!

Gasper turns around and laughs at Flannel. Not scared at all, Gasper floats away still laughing.

After Gasper left, Flannel started to cry because he failed Frankensteins dare and would not be invited to his party.
