This is Rosie. Rosie is a smart and kind little girl. She is a 7 years old Mexican American and loves to learn. She has brown skin, brown eyes, dark brown hair, and is short in height. She is a beautiful little girl!

Like any other day, Rosie was watching cartoons. It was her favorite thing to do each morning. It made her laugh and smile. Her favorite was a cartoon about animals. They were all so cute!

When the cartoon ends, a commercial comes on for make-up products. Rosie likes to put on her mom's make-up and play princess, so she watches with excitement! Look at all the colors!

During the commercial, a woman with blonde hair is putting a lipstick product on for a party and says, "If you want to be beautiful, be like me!"

Rosie looks at the T.V. and then at herself. She doesn't look like the woman on the screen. The woman has white skin and blonde hair. Is she beautiful, too? Rosie is unsure.

Then, another commercial comes on. It is a news update. The reporter says, "This just in! The world has announced that the stunning Scarlett Johansson is the most beautiful woman out there right now! You heard it here ladies, this is the woman to be like!"

He continues, "What could you not love about her!? Not only is she talented, just look at that silky blonde hair and stunning green eyes! She really is beautiful!"

Rosie looks at her dark brown hair and brown eyes. She looks nothing like the celebrity. The reporter said to be beautiful, to look like the famous woman but Rosie looks very different. Does this mean she is not beautiful? What about her mother, who looks just like Rosie? Is her mom not beautiful, too? Rosie turns off the T.V. and decides to go find her mom.
