Far beneath the ocean waves, a little fish laid in bed. All night long his little fish dreams swimming around his head.

He always dreamt about swimming up to see the blue sky above, lit up by the bright sun and full of many colors he knew he’d love.

But little fish could never swim that high above the ocean, their fins were much too small, and their tails were far too floppy.

However, this little fish happened to love his little fins, and saw no problem with his floppy little tail. So when he woke up the next morning he knew he couldn’t and he wouldn’t fail.
“I’m going to swim far above the ocean, above the waves to see the sky so blue; I have never seen the sun. Not even once, and now it’s time I do.” He told his little fish friends, but they warned him that he shouldn’t swim so high. It’s not safe for little fish like himself.

And so did the big fish that swam close by. “No little fish has ever swam that high, it can’t be done. A big fish could get the trip done, but we know little fish, you’re most certainly not the one.” Said the big fish.

But the little fish didn’t listen. Not even a silly big fish family could ever change his mind.
He swam up past all the other fish leaving them behind.

His poor fins were getting tired but he knew he couldn’t stop. He had to keep moving. He continued to swim faster. He had to reach the top.

The little fish kept swimming and he didn’t plan to stop, until he heard the sound of a big bubble pop.

He turned around and realized he was in big trouble. The sound he heard was from a big shark.

The little fish tried to find a safe place to stay. But the shark saw him and swam right in his way. "I’ve never seen a little fish like yourself try to swim up this high before. What is it, little fish? What are doing up here? What are you up here looking for?” Asked the shark.
