The Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year is the most important festival for the Chinese.
The celebration will start from the New Year's Eve and will last for around 15 days until the middle of the first month.

Preceding days of Chinese new year :

We sweep the dust away and discard things we don’t need anymore. We will not clean for at least the first three days of the New Year, we believe such actions will “sweep” or “wash” away our good luck.

The biggest event of the Chinese New Year's Eve is the annual Reunion dinner'. At that time we need to say good things.We can't say bad things because we believe that is not lucky.

Dragon Boat Festival
Legend says after people heard Qu Yuan drowned, they raced to the spot to search him but unable to find his body. People threw rice dumplings and other food into the river to feed the fish. Hoping the fish would not eat Qu Yuan's body. Since then, people commemorated Qu Yuan through dragon boat races, eating rice dumplings on the anniversary of his death, the fifth of the May.
