This book is dedicated to all those who never stop dreaming and never give up hope.

Prism was a young cheerful girl. She was the only child of her parents and belonged to a rich family, but she was not a spoiled child. However she was a little different from others. Her deep black eyes had something that made her different from others Prism was colorblind!! The whole world was black and white to the poor little one. Shades of grey were the only colors she could visualize.

But Prism never complained about that. She said "Since I heard of the beauty of colors, I am longing to see them and I'm sure I'll meet them one day!" and smile gently. Her father would hug his beloved daughter at once and say"May god bless you and listen to your prayer."
But he knew that Prism's wish cannot be fulfilled because colorblindness cannot be cured. But he couldn't disappoint his daughter either because it was Prism's hope that had kept her alive.
But only on lazy afternoons when the sun slowly swam across the sky and hide itself behind the wide ocean as Prism would sits gazing at the sun saying "Goodbye" she wondered why God made her colorblind and never let her see the beautiful colors playing across the sky and painting it. When she heard the roaring sound of the waves that touched her feet as she walked along the beach she said "Sun, ask god why he did such injustice to me when you meet him." Days passed and turned into weeks and weeks turned into months...Months passed and turned into years... Prism slowly grew up and now she was a bright girl of seventh grade. But the smile in her face, the hope in her eyes never faded away.
She still wondered how the colors looked like and how it felt to enjoy the beauty of nature with colors. But Prism still didn't give up hope and waited for the day she'll see colors and her colorless dull eyes will be filled with numerous colors. Her eyes were not filled with colors but they were filled with hope!

Now only a week was left before Prism's fourteenth birthday! One silent night she was woken up by the moonlight of the full moon that had entered through the open window. She slowly got up and opened the door as she gazed at the beautiful moonlit night. She whispered to the winds"Winds when you meet god, tell him that Prism had asked for her birthday gift. Tell him that Prism had asked for the colors of her eyes to come back."

The next morning Prism's father said "I have some important work to be done so I have to leave for now. But don't worry darling, I shall return soon." and so he left. Prism waited for her papa to return anxiously. On the other hand she was excited as well about her birthday party, her birthday presents and the birthday cake! Of coarse she didn't know about how colorful they looked but the cakes were very tasty. And Prism loved the smell of the delicious food, the chattering sound.... It's all so much interesting!!!!
