John Kennedy was born May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts. They were a heavy Irish Catholic family. He was the second oldest of nine siblings. As a child he attend a Catholic Boarding School. Suffered from chronic illnesses during his childhood that brought him to the brink of death several times. Graduated from Harvard in 1940.

Upon Graduating Harvard, he joined the navy during World War 2. There was a little worry that he would not be able to join the Navy due to his injured back. He soon became a Patrol Torpedo (PT) Boat skipper. He commanded the PT Boat 109, which consisted of 11 crew members.


One Night while on Patrol Kennedy's PT 109 collided with a Japanese Destroyer. They were attacking Japanese Boats when in the dark one destroyer split his boat in two. His crew lasted four days without food and water and were rescued six days later after swimming nearly fifteen miles island to island. All eleven members of his crew survived the wreck. However, JFK would return to PT Patrol a few short months after these events.

Post World War Two, JFK served in the House of Representatives from 1947-1953, Then he switched to the United States Senate in 1953-1960. In 1960, he was selected as the Democratic nominee for the upcoming election. He ended up Winning the 1960, election against Richard Nixon becoming the 35th President of the United States.

JFK married Jacqueline Bouvier in 1953. They had four children during their ten years of marriage. There four Children are: John Jr., Patrick, Caroline, and Arabella.
