This is Bob.

Bob was planted about 70 days ago.

Today, Farmer Todd picked Bob and all his friends and family.

They will soon be on their way to a fry factory.

Potatoes

Here is Bob and his friend, Patricia, being transported to the fry factory in American Falls, Idaho.

After Bob gets to the Lamb Weston factory, his friends and him are sorted by size.

The small friends, dirt, and rocks fall to the bottom.

After Bob's friends are separated, they are sent to a rock trap.

A rock trap is another place to help sort the potatoes using water. The potatoes float while the rocks sink.

All of Bob's friends then go through a stream of water that sorts the potatoes by size.

They potatoes are put on a conveyor belt where their skin is taken off of them.

They are blasted with steam for 12 seconds, and they have water boiled under their skins. After this, their skin will pop off.
