To my sister Sylvie who is awesome and is always watching over me. Of course, I wouldn't forget my mom and our dog Sable who inspired this story.

It was dark and cold outside and we had the house to ourselves. What a great night to watch a horror movie! So my sister and I decided to watch "Halloween". Of course, we had to put the surround sound system on with the subwoofer just to make sure the house was blasting with noise. That's the only way to see a movie. While we were watching the movie, I thought I heard a noise outside. Maybe it was my imagination and the scratching noise could be coming from the movie.

We were on our Christmas break and we had a lot of free time. So we popped some popcorn and had some chips and we were ready for our movie. All the lights were off and the doors were locked and secured. Our parents went out to dinner and would be back in about 2 to 3 hours. So we made sure that everything was locked down.
Michael Myers was such a crazy person. He was attacking anyone that got in his way. In the middle of the movie, I heard some scratching noises outside of the house. I asked my sister if she heard the noise and she said ,"It's just the movie". So I ignored it and kept watching the movie. A few minutes later, the noise was louder. The door was being scratched. This time my sister heard the noise too! Even our dog heard the noise and she ran to the door and was barking her head off. We turned on the lights and looked out the window. There wasn't anyone or anything there . The lights must have scared it away.
We all went to the livingroom to continue watching the movie. We turned off the lights again, but this time the dog was sitting next to us. A few minutes later, we heard some noises and it was loud. There was a loud bang outside and something fell. My sister and I just looked at each other and we slowly got up and our dog followed us. We didn't turn on the lights because we wanted to surprise whatever or whoever was outside. As we opened the door slowly, we saw a large shadow moving around. We couldn't see anyone out there, just this shadow moving back and forth.
